At the Heart of the Gospel

The MORE Young Adults are joining together with the Immaculate Conception Young Adult Group for At the Heart of the Gospel: Theology of the Body.  The Theology of the Body is a bold, compelling, Christian response to the sexual revolution that is transforming lives and renewing relationships around the globe and across denominational lines.  Written by the late Pope John Paul II, the Theology of the Body offers an in-depth biblical exploration of the meaning of the body and human sexuality that not only paves the way for lasting renewal of marriage and family life, but enables everyone to rediscover "the meaning of the whole of existence, the meaning of life".  We'll spend several evenings reading Christopher West's At the Heart of the Gospel and exploring the Holy Father's theology and how to reclaim the body for the new evangelization.  Check out MORE News for details about when and where we will gather for this exciting new series!

    Having established the world is desperate for God and that we need to boldly enter into the world to share the Gospel, it is time discuss how to do this in more detail.  We'll discuss what to look for when we are out in the world and how to get the conversation started.  Join us this Saturday, June 15 at 7:00pm at St Noel Church as we continue discussing how Theology of the Body will be an important part of the New Evangelization!

  • Movie Night: Thr3e
    The MORE Young Adult Group will gather at Brian and Kathy's place on Friday, May 31 at 7:00pm for a Christian themed movie night.  We will be watching Thr3e, the movie based on the book by best selling Christian author Ted Dekker.  In this Christian thriller, innocent lives hang on the whim of an elusive psychopathic murderer whose strange riddles and impossible timelines force three people into a mission to end the game before one or all of them die.  Contact Brian if you'd like more information or if you need directions to the house.

  • Theology of the Body: The New Evangelization
    We must summon fresh energy for tackling the problem of how to announce the gospel anew in such a way that this world can receive it, and we must muster all of our energies to do this.

    When we began our discussion of the Theology of the Body, we discussed how our world is in desperate need of the Gospel.  While the Gospel has not changed in two thousand years, we do need to present it in a fresh new way if the world is going to accept it.  We prefaced our discussion of Theology of the Body by saying that it could be a part of the new framework that we use to share the Gospel in the new millennium.  Join us this Saturday, May 18 at 7:00pm at St Noel Church as we return to the beginning and discuss how Theology of the Body will be an important part of the New Evangelization!
